How long does the tour take?
The tour takes approximately one hour followed by a tutored Beer tasting 30 minutes. There may also be an opportunity for you to meet our wine team and taste a selection of our wines on offer at the Cellar&Kitchen store when you are taken there to get your complimentary bottle of Adnams beer. If you’re not driving, we can also point you in the direction of the pub afterwards.
Do I get to taste Adnams beer?
Too right you do – what’s the point of coming on a brewery tour otherwise? You’ll get to taste a selection of our beers and we’ll give you a bottle to take home with you.
Is the tour suitable for wheelchairs?
Yes, there is wheelchair access to the brewery and the tasting area.
Do you offer tours at the weekend?
Yes we do. Keep checking the tour dates.
Should I wear sensible shoes?
Yes. We’re not talking steel toecaps here, but you best winkle-pickers/stilettos or flip flops would not be the best option.
Should I wear extra warm clothing?
No. As there's lots of big, hot machinery in the brewery, it can get extremely hot in there especially in the summer so unless you feel the cold, extra warm clothing is not the best option. It may be an idea to bring a plastic, screw-topped bottle of water with you but please be aware of our Brewery Hygiene policy.
Can I come on the tour if I’m under 18?
Unfortunately not – this is Adnams beer we’re talking about here and if you’re not old enough to drink it, we’re afraid you’re just going to have to wait a bit longer until you can see how we make it.
What about if my children are very small and not likely to want to drink the beer?
We’re afraid the answer is still no. This is big, hot machinery and we just don’t want to take the risk of having youngsters in the brewery.
What happens if there aren’t six people signed up for my tour?
We’ll call you and either offer you an alternative date, give you a refund, or you may decide to buy the additional places for your own personal tour.
Can I bring more than 12 people?
We’ll do our best to sort something out if you get in touch. Call us on 01502 727225 between 9am & 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) and we’ll see what we can do.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs, but not in the brewery.
